List of Actions

The spreadsheet referenced here shows the list of actions that have been completed or are planned for Clinton and Kirkland. Download the Excel file (updated 8/9/2022). A total of 120 points are required to achieve bronze status in the state program. The total points for the Village will be in the range of 118 to 165 when planned actions are complete, depending on the weights given as NYSERDA confirms the accomplishments.

Community Engagement and Education Plan

Part of the Climate Smart Community agenda is to develop a plan for community engagement and education. Increasing public understanding of climate change, developing a shared understanding of the problems and potential solutions, and building community support requires a commitment to on-going education and engagement.

Vulnerability Assessment

Students and faculty at Hamilton College conducted a vulnerability assessment in the fall semester of 2020. They presented their results in a community forum in November 2020. A summary of the forum and the slide deck shown then can be seen here, and the full report (66 pages) is now available as of December 2022. Climate Action Plan

One of the next major items on our agenda is the development of a Community Climate Action Plan. A summary of the requirements and a list of resources for such a plan are given in this file (PDF).
