Nov.19, 2020: Vulnerability Assessment Presentation

A community meeting on November 19th sponsored by the Clinton Kirkland Climate Smart Community Task Force focused on a climate change vulnerability assessment for the Village of Clinton and Town of Kirkland.

The assessment was conducted and presented by Hamilton College students from a class led by Dr. Aaron Strong. It was followed by a discussion of public concerns and primary risks related to climate change in our community, and the next steps to keep our community resilient.

Oct. 13, 2020: Community Meeting

The Climate Smart Taskforce for Kirkland and Clinton hosted a virtual community meeting on the evening of Wednesday, October 13 with over 50 attendees. The CSC Taskforce was introduced and NYSERDA’s Climate Smart Community program was briefly explained. A presentation put together by Hamilton College students was presented by Dr. Aaron Strong. As part of their course work, the students will be conducting a vulnerability assessment for Clinton and Kirkland.
